The current global pandemic has invariably changed our needs, and possibly desires, when it comes to bare necessities, to our living and work arrangements and even to standard city movements – overall, the shift in how we use to live, to how we live now is transparent.

As Oscar Holland, writing for CNN, explains, “the idea of a “15-minute city,” in which residents can all reach work and leisure facilities within a quarter-hour walk — or cycle — of their homes, has gained significant traction among urban planners during the Covid-19 pandemic.”

“With people around the world working from home and avoiding public transport, urban planners have begun pedestrianizing streets and reimagining how cities manage dense populations.”

In Holland’s latest blog, he explores the development dubbed as “Project H1″ which is set to ” transform an old industrial site into an interconnected “smart” city” – built around for the reworked needs of the city.
