Part One: Biophilic Design

The term “Biophilic” is a concept used within design that aims to increase the connectivity between people and the natural environment through the use of our specifically nature centered built environments. Pola Mora, writing for Archdaily.com, explains the aim of this trend as, ” to integrate nature into building architecture as a way to improve our health, psyche and overall ecosystem”.

Through the use of “reclaimed wood, hanging plants, green walls and large green installations”, as Mora explains, we will be able to sculpt out the future of interior design.
